Meet the Team

 

Dr Dave Sawh

MBBS, MRCP, MRCS (1&2), MRCGP, PGDip Cardiology.

 

Dr Sawh is a practising general and family physician, working both in the private and public health sectors in London, United Kingdom. He graduated from the University of Guyana School of Medicine in the Caribbean after which he migrated to the United Kingdom and started postgraduate training in Surgery. Upon completion of the MRCS (1&2) examinations he switched his career to General Practice.

 

He completed his General Practice training with the Eastern Deanery in Cambridge and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). He has a strong interest in General Medicine and successfully completed the MRCP examinations hence became a member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom.

 

Dr Sawh has also done postgraduate diplomas in Cardiology and Dermatology. His wide experiences in both the surgical and medical specialties combined with his membership of the various medical colleges place him among the few clinicians with such a varied background.

 

 

Dr, Naresh Singh

BSc, MSc, Ph.D.

 

 

Dr. Singh is an environmental health scientist and international development expert who worked closely with senior decision makers around the world. After his PhD at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica he was appointed Senior Scientist and then Executive Director of the Caribbean Environmental Health Institute (CEHI) based in St. Lucia. Prior to undertaking his PhD he was Research and Development Manager at the Guyana Pharmaceutical Corporation and during his Ph.D. he taught pharmaceutical chemistry at the University of Technology in Jamaica.

 

After his role at CEHI Dr. Singh pioneered the sustainable livelihoods approach to poverty reduction at the International Institute for Sustainable Development in Canada and then joined the United Nations Development Program in New York where he became Principal Adviser on poverty and sustainable livelihoods. He then returned to Canada to serve as a Director General at the Canadian International Development Agency before being appointed as Executive Director of the UN Commission on Legal Empowerment of the Poor co-chaired by Madeleine Albright and Hernando de Soto. He has worked in more than 50 countries around the world.

 

Dr. Singh has also been active academically as visiting professor or scholar at a range of Universities in the West Indies, India and North America including Harvard, McGill, Waterloo and Boston University where he taught on the MPH program for several years. He has published widely on international development as well as in the West Indian medical journal on the antidiabetic and anticonvulsive activity of Caribbean plants.

 

 

Mr. John Senechal

MHA, LRT, BA.

 

Mr John Senechal has been in the healthcare arena for 30 years. His first degree in Radiological Sciences was earned in 1986. He achieved senior level positions in world-renowned institutions such as New York University Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital for Special Surgery, and The Veterans Administration Medical Center. He also earned a second degree in Pre-med Biology.

 

Furthering his education, he embarked on his graduate degree in Healthcare Administration from Hofstra University and is the CEO of Twenty First Century Healthcare Management Services, a healthcare company providing medical/practice management to medical facilities and hospitals.
